Raw & Alkalizing Vegan Recipes

Raw & Alkalizing Vegan Recipes
30 November, 2023

All the recipes below are perfect for consuming while on the pre-cleanse, and also on the gentle version of the Bio Cleanse. While on the main part of the full strength cleanse (liquids only), you can consume the vegetable mineral broth.

Broccoli & Apple Salad

(1 serving)

Organic lettuce & sprouts

1 stalk of organic broccoli

½ organic apple

1 Tbsp. soaked raw organic sunflower seeds-soaked for 6-8hrs

Dulse seaweed powder or flakes

Organic cold pressed olive oil & flax seed oil

Raw organic apple cider vinegar

Steam broccoli flowers until crisp tender. Peel broccoli stalks, slice and add to washed lettuce & sprouts. Core and chop apple and add to salad along with drained sunflower seeds. Let broccoli cool then add to salad.

Sprinkle dulse powder or flakes generously over the salad then add organic cold pressed olive oil, organic cold pressed flax seed oil & raw organic apple cider vinegar to taste.

Mix and enjoy!

NOTE: When nuts & seeds are soaked they become neutral to alkaline, however if too many are eaten they will slow down the cleanse.

Potato & Greens Salad

(1 serving)

Organic lettuce & sprouts

Organic cultivated dandelion greens (not as bitter as wild)

2 stalks organic celery, chopped

1Tbsp. soaked raw organic sunflower seeds (optional)

1 medium organic potato, cubed

Mrs. Dash seasoning or Spike without Salt

Organic cold pressed olive oil & flax seed oil

Raw organic apple cider vinegar

Bring cubed potato to a boil & let cook until fork tender, drain and let cool. Wash lettuce & dandelion greens and then add sprouts to salad, mung bean sprouts are good with this salad. You will probably want to experiment to see that amount of dandelion greens you like mixed with your lettuce for a mild bitter taste, I cut it into about 1 inch sections. Add celery and drained sunflower seeds. Add cooled potatoes to salad and sprinkle with Mrs. Dashs seasoning. Add olive oil, flax seed oil & apple cider vinegar to taste. Toss and serve.

*Remember to limit potatoes to 1 or 2 times a week as they will slow down the cleanse. *

Cauliflower Soup

(1 serving)

Organic cauliflower florets, ½ to 1/3 of a head depending on size

½organic avocado

water

½ to 1tsp of curry, to taste

Blend all ingredients and add water to desired consistency. This recipe works great if you have a VitaMix because it warms the soup as it blends. You want to maintain the enzymes and nutrients of the raw vegetables in this recipe so if you warm it on the stove do the finger test. If your finger can comfortably be left in it for several seconds then the enzymes are still active. When food is heated over 105 degrees most enzymes are killed and some nutrients are lost.

Yam Soup

(1 serving)

1 small organic yam

1 small to medium organic apple

water or fresh, organic apple juice

1/4 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 tsp ginger

nutmeg

2 tsp organic cold pressed olive oil or flax seed oil

Peel and chop yam and core and chop apple, put in blender container with all the spices except nutmeg. Blend with water or apple juice to desired consistency. Warm to desired temperature, below 105 degrees, to maintain enzymes and nutrients. Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve.

A Grate Salad

Red and/or organic green lettuce & sprouts (enough for 1 salad)

1 small raw organic beet

1 small raw organic apple

1 Jerusalem artichoke

Dressing

2 tbsp cold-pressed (extra virgin) organic olive oil

2 tsp raw organic apple cider vinegar

¼ to ½ tsp curry

Wash & dry lettuce, then grate apple, beet and Jerusalem artichoke on top of lettuce and sprouts.

Toss all together. Mix olive oil, apple cider vinegar & curry together and add to tossed salad. Mix and serve.

Vitamin C Smoothie

1 organic banana

1 organic kiwi

1 organic orange

Handful of raw, organic soaked almonds (optional)- soak almonds for 24 - 48 hours

1-2 tsp of organic, cold pressed flax seed oil (optional)

filtered water

Peel and cut the fruit so it can blend smoothly. Add water to the desired consistency.

You may add soaked almonds for additional nutrients and substance, if in the beginning of cleansing.

This may help with the transition to an alkaline diet. If you are into the second or third week of the cleanse you may want to omit so as not to slow down the cleanse. Addition of flax seed oil will provide some of the Essential Fatty Acid (EFA) our bodies require.

You may also add ice if you like your smoothies cold.

A Pink Drink

2 medium organic raw apples- sliced

1 small organic raw beet sliced

2 small organic raw kale leaves

1 thin slice of organic lemon with skin

1 slice of fresh organic ginger

1 tsp of bulk Ultimate Food Complex

water

Juice all fruits and vegetables , then add Ultimate Food Complex and water to desired consistency

Vegetable Mineral Broth (non-raw)

Great for increasing the electrolyte mineral intake in your diet

3 qts distilled water

3-5 cut up organic potatoes

3-5 cut up stalks of organic celery

Big handful of cut up organic greens: kale, collard, mustard, turnip or even a half a bunch of parsley

Kelp (optional)

You may add any other vegetables you like, these are the basics. Use a stainless steel pot and bring to a light boil with the lid on. Simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from the heat, and after it has cooled a bit, strain and throw out chunks, keeping only the broth. Refrigerate. Drink 3-5 cups a day.
